Go to task manager and set the priority to high.
It worked for me. It does not fix the MS Access bug, but it does cause it to return life after a few minutes as opposed to never.
Saved my data!

Microsoft Access not responding
YMMV, but I recently had a large database and relationships drawing in Microsoft Access 2003. I was working on a deadline and even though I had a backup just a couple of hours old, I could not afford to lose the work. I looked on web for a solution and came upon this one:
